The 16th Melaka State Election features candidates from various generations. Mohamad Jaafar, a Pakatan Harapan candidate for the Telok Mas state seat, is the oldest candidate at 66 years old. Muhammad Mukhlisul Mubin Julasapiyah is the youngest candidate at 24 years old, contesting the Kuala Linggi state seat.
