El Presidente José Antonio Kast sacó de su cargo al exsubsecreatario de Justicia por intentar aplacar el malestar oficialista, tras la crisis que generó la rebaja de penas a condenados por delitos sexuales contra menores. De manera escueta, Silva agradeció al mandatario "la oportunidad" y el ministro del Interior aseguró que "no habrá más salidas" del gobierno.
