Troy Van Leeuwen sat down with a Culto journalist for a talk that veered well beyond the usual promo-cycle chatter. The longtime Queens of the Stone Age guitarist talked about the band's new album, and his message had an unusual shape to it. He said the group is exploring its vulnerable side on Perfecth. In his words: 'We're not a normal band, we're not perfect.' By his account, admitting to imperfection is part of what this record is about. A veteran act talking openly about soft spots rather than triumphs made for a refreshingly candid conversation.
