Today students and local residents gathered at a busy intersection near the Law Faculty in Belgrade. They observed a sixteen‑minute period of silence to honor victims of a recent tragedy. The silence marked the memory of sixteen people who died when a canopy collapsed at the railway station building in Novi Sad. The collapse occurred on 1 November 2024. To reinforce the tribute, organizers placed sixteen white roses on a nearby pedestrian crossing. The roses symbolized each of the victims. The event concluded as participants left the site, remembering the loss.
