The situation escalated sharply on Tirana's streets, with a Molotov cocktail thrown at a police armored vehicle. Protesters scattered along Myslym Shyri street as officers moved in against the crowd. The police response included tear gas and water cannon. After that intervention, officers chased some of the demonstrators into narrow side alleys.
