UDI members of parliament have requested sanctions against a Frente Amplio deputy. The request follows statements made by the deputy regarding a supposed international pedophilia network. This network was allegedly linked to reduced sentences for sexual abusers. The leader of the UDI caucus questioned why these accusations were made without supporting evidence. The matter has been taken to the Ethics Commission.
