The Central Bank of Montenegro stated that the license revocation of Alta Banka in Serbia does not threaten the country's financial stability. The bank does not operate within Montenegro. The Alta Pay Group Podgorica payment institution remains under the central bank's supervision. This entity does not have the status of a bank. It does not accept deposits from citizens.
