Protests across France regarding the cost of living, poor education conditions, and police violence were mostly peaceful. However, clashes occurred in Paris and other parts of the country. Police responded to these confrontations by using tear gas and water cannons. The French Ministry of the Interior reported that more than 290 people were arrested nationwide.
Čeprav so protesti zaradi draginje, slabih razmer v šolstvu in policijskega nasilja po Franciji večinoma potekali mirno, je policija v Parizu in ponekod drugod v državi v spopadih s protestniki uporabila solzivec in celo vodni top. Po navedbah francoskega notranjega ministrstva je bilo po vsej državi aretiranih več kot 290 ljudi.
