The PNL is questioning the government's budget protections for the INDH for 2027. Dipres decided that funds for the organization must be classified as permanent legal expenditure. This classification is based on the law that created the body. Because the funding is backed by the Constitution, the budget cannot be rejected or reduced.
Dipres determinó que los recursos del INDH debían clasificarse como gasto de ley permanente, debido a que el organismo fue creado por una ley que contempla su financiamiento. De esta forma, no se podrán reducir ni rechazar el presupuesto del organismo al estar respaldado por la Constitución.
