Ten Things I Hate About You has now been around for 27 years, and it still sings. Considerable staying power comes from Heath Ledger, whose charm in the romantic comedy registers as strongly now as it did when the film first appeared. A romcom outliving its era like this is rare, and Ledger's performance sits at the centre of why audiences keep returning to it.
