Statistics from the statistical office show that women in Slovenia live longer than men. In 2025, 21,223 residents died, with the highest number of deaths occurring on December 26. The average age at death was 79.3 years. This represents 283 fewer deaths than in 2024. On average, women were nearly eight years older than men at the time of their death.
Surs je pred dnevom spomina na mrtve objavil podatke o smrtih v lanskem letu. Leta 2025 je tako umrlo 21.223 prebivalcev Slovenije, največ 26. decembra, povprečna starost pa je bila 79,3 leta. V primerjavi z letom 2024 je umrlo 283 ljudi manj. Ženske pa so bile ob smrti v povprečju skoraj osem let starejše od moških, je objavil statistični urad.
