More than 50,000 spectators filled the Mashwar square in the city of Laayoune on Sunday evening for a major artistic event. The evening was organised as part of celebrations marking Unity Day and the 51st anniversary of the Green March. Large numbers of the city's residents and visitors turned out, following the artistic programme in a festive atmosphere. The size of the crowd reflected the strong public interest in the event.
