The government of Andrej Babiš is discussing a new army development concept for the Czech Republic. President Petr Pavla attended the meeting in his role as commander-in-chief of the armed forces. The plan outlines the military structure leading up to the year 2040. According to the document, the army should have at least 32,000 professional soldiers by that time. The goal also includes maintaining 15,000 soldiers in the active reserve.
