Ryanair reported a 15 percent decrease in profit for the first half of the fiscal year. Profits fell to 2.15 billion euro from 2.54 billion euro the previous year. The Irish company attributed this decline to a sharp increase in kerosene prices. Lower ticket prices also contributed to the reduced earnings. These financial pressures are forcing the airline to implement cost-cutting measures. The company is introducing wage freezes and reducing the number of destinations it serves.
