Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Monday that Tehran is conducting 'very intensive' consultations with the United States through intermediaries, in an effort to prevent the resumption of confrontations between the two sides. He noted that the consultations and deliberations are intensive given the sensitivity and seriousness of the regional situation and rising fears of a return to escalation. Araghchi made the remarks in an interview with Iran's official news agency IRNA.
