Two-time Olympic champion Vyacheslav Fetisov commented on Germany's possible refusal to host the 2027 World Championship. The question arose against the backdrop of Russian national teams being allowed back into international tournaments. Fetisov called Russia "the greatest sports power" and mocked the idea of host countries balking at its arrival, asking whether every janitor would shut the fence when Russia comes to the arena. He dismissed the stance as childish, comparing it to a kindergarten.
