Sudan's central bank governor, Amna Mirghani Hassan Al-Tom, held an expanded meeting to discuss challenges in the gold export sector and imbalances linked to the supply of export proceeds. Participants included the minister of minerals, the gold export window, the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Authority, private export companies, and security and regulatory bodies. The meeting also examined a sharp decline in Sudanese gold exports to the UAE.
