Egypt and Sudan stressed the need to preserve Sudan's unity, territorial integrity and national institutions, and rejected any threat to its sovereignty or the creation of parallel entities. The position was stated during the third round of the 2+2 consultation mechanism meetings between the foreign and irrigation ministers, held in Cairo on Monday. According to Egypt's Foreign Ministry, the Egyptian side emphasized that it stands with the Sudanese people.
