Brazilian democracy in its current form is only a few years older than that of Croatia. The country moved toward a federal democracy after more than two decades of military dictatorship. This transition happened in the late 1980s when the nation adopted its current constitution.
Brazilska je demokracija u svom postojećem obliku, naime, tek koju godinu starija od hrvatske. Nakon više od dva desetljeća vojne diktature tek krajem 80-ih godina prošlog stoljeća Brazil je donio aktualni ustav i transformirao se u federalnu demokraciju.
