Argentina's central bank, the BCRA, has gone past the reserves target it committed to with the International Monetary Fund. The institution has built up US$15,963 million in reserves over the course of the year. The Fund itself noted that the goal was exceeded by about US$4,000 million. Even so, the level projected by Economy Minister Caputo still sits some way off. That mark is set at US$19,500 million. To close the remaining gap, the central bank needs to buy an average of US$90 million per trading session.
