The PLN announced that it sees a political trial being launched against magistrate Patricia Solano. Deputies Eder Hernández and Salvador Padilla accused the governing side of using a legislative commission as a tool against the judge. They argued that the move amounts to instrumentalising the commission for political ends. The legislators also questioned why an investigation into a credit linked to the current ambassador to the United Nations was rejected. They suggested that the selectivity of the PPSO undermines equal treatment. The statement implied that the justice system is being targeted for partisan reasons.
