Holness establishes dedicated Ministry of Mining and Geology, assigns Floyd Green to oversee
Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness created a Ministry of Mining and Geology with its own Permanent Secretary. Minister Floyd Green will oversee this new portfolio while maintaining his role in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. The new ministry aims to improve the management of mineral resources in Jamaica. It will use geological data to inform public safety and land use decisions.
