Newly elected council members in Brno will meet today for their inaugural session. During this meeting they will elect the city’s mayor and councilors who will serve for the next four years. A governing coalition is expected to include the People’s Party and the STAN movement together with the Civic Democratic Party, TOP 09, independent representatives and the Greens. The alliance brings together centre‑right and environmental forces. The leadership choices will set the municipal agenda until 2028. The session marks the start of the new term.
