Ilirjan Celibashi, the head of the Central Election Commission, has called for action regarding local elections on May 9. He requested that recommendations from the OSCE/ODIHR be implemented. Celibashi also mentioned the need to update the Electoral Code to align with the new administrative-territorial division. He suggested expanding voting options.
