A court in Kos found two men guilty of the robbery and killing of Giorgos Karyotis. The crime occurred in June 2022 within the Medieval City of Rhodes. A 42-year-old man received a life sentence for the murder. Another man, identified as the victim's son, was also sentenced to life in prison for the robbery. During the proceedings, the 42-year-old claimed he acted alone in the killing. He asserted that the victim's son was innocent of the murder.
