Frank Schmidt is leaving 1. FC Heidenheim at the end of the season. He led the team from the Oberliga to European competition. The coach has been with the club for nearly two decades. He declined a contract extension to take a break starting in the summer.
Frank Schmidt führte den 1. FC Heidenheim von der Oberliga bis in den Europapokal. Nach fast zwei Jahrzehnten schlug der Erfolgstrainer nun eine Vertragsverlängerung aus. Er will ab Sommer erst einmal »Pause machen«.
