Protesters are aware that police violence divides the public, political parties, and the President. This division provides them with the space to commit transgressions. They believe the resulting aftermath works in their favor. Their strength increases when a President who dislikes conflict places the blame on the police.
Os manifestantes sabem que o uso de violência pela polícia divide a sociedade: opinião pública, partidos e Presidente. É isso que lhes dá espaço para transgredir: sabem que o que se segue joga a seu favor. E ganham mais força quando percebem que um Presidente avesso a conflitos se apressa a pôr o ónus na polícia.
