Cuban doctors to stay in Belize under individual contracts
Belizeans using public health facilities will still have access to Cuban doctors and nurses. The government announced that the formal agreement for the Cuban Medical Brigade, which started in 1990, will not be renewed. Instead of the brigade program, these medical professionals will remain in the country under individual contracts.
