Government plans National Security Advisory Committee involving churches, NGOs, media and political opposition
Minister of National Security, Energy and Ports Michel Chebat announced the creation of a National Security Advisory Committee. This new group will include people from various parts of Belizean society. Members will come from churches, the media, and nongovernmental organizations. Representatives from the political opposition will also be involved. The announcement took place during an emergency police briefing held on Sunday.
