The president of Commission C, which handles public finance, refused to approve the request for an additional budget for the 2027 General State Budget. The request had been presented by a ministry and a public entity during a public hearing. Parliament also opposed the proposal because the amount was considered too large. Officials argued that the budget could not be increased under the current constraints. The disagreement was reported on 4 November 2027 in Dili.
