The Riksbank decided on Wednesday to raise the policy rate by 0.25 percentage points to 2.0 percent. This move was expected. Officials justify the increase by stating that the economic downturn has ended. The Swedish economy is now performing better. There is also an increased risk of higher inflation resulting from the energy crisis.
Riksbanken beslutade på onsdagen som väntat att höja styrräntan med 0,25 procentenheter till 2,0 procent. Höjningen motiveras med att lågkonjunkturen är över och att den svenska ekonomin går bättre, samtidigt som det finns en ökad risk för högre inflation i spåren av energikrisen.
