Several suspects accused of being part of a gang have been released from preventive detention. They were allegedly involved in robbing 15 banks across Portugal. In June, the Public Ministry of Santarém brought charges against the group. These charges included qualified robbery and standard robbery. The suspects also faced accusations of kidnapping and money laundering. They were further charged with belonging to a criminal association.
