Residents of Turkiye’s Ergani welcome proposal to make district province

People living in Ergani, a district of Diyarbakir in southeastern Turkiye, expressed satisfaction with a new proposal. The district is being considered for provincial status. This is part of an initiative called 100 Provinces, 1,000 Districts. The proposal was put forward by Devlet Bahceli, the Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party.
