Igor Žmirić, the commander of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit of the Serbian police, was arrested in Belgrade on Wednesday. He is suspected of abusing and torturing students during protests that took place last year. The operation was carried out by the Sector of Internal Control of the Serbian Ministry of Interior. A total of nine people were arrested, including current and former police officers.
U Beogradu je u srijedu uhićen Igor Žmirić, zapovjednik Specijalne antiterorističke jedinice (SAJ) srbijanske policije, zbog sumnje na zlostavljanje i mučenje studenata tijekom prošlogodišnjih prosvjeda. U akciji Sektora unutarnje kontrole MUP-a Srbije uhićeno je ukupno devet osoba, među kojima su sadašnji i bivši policijski službenici
