A meteorological agency reported that its radar had detected moderate to strong precipitation across several provinces, including Tumbes, Zarumilla and Contralmirante Villlar. Since that warning, intense rainfall has been observed in Tumbes for about an hour. Video footage has been shared to document the conditions. The agency had previously flagged the risk the day before. The ongoing heavy rain is affecting the area.
