Economy Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir stated that energy-intensive projects should not be judged solely by investment value. He suggested that evaluations include infrastructure readiness and energy efficiency. The minister also mentioned the importance of local supplier participation and skill development. He believes these projects should be viewed through their broad economic benefits.
KUALA LUMPUR: Projek intensif tenaga perlu dinilai bukan hanya berdasarkan nilai pelaburan, malah dari segi kesiapsiagaan infrastruktur, kecekapan tenaga, penyertaan pembekal tempatan, pembangunan kemahiran dan manfaat ekonomi yang luas, kata Menteri Ekonomi, Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir.
