Hubert Aiwanger, the vice president of the Bavarian state government and minister of economy, was found dead on Wednesday night. His body was discovered in a room at the Hotel Neuer Fritz in Berlin. Both the Berlin police and the prosecutor's office confirmed the news. They have opened an investigation into the death of the 55-year-old official.
