The Innsbruck Regional Court found the founder of Signa guilty of defrauding a foundation belonging to his former supporter, Hans Peter Haselsteiner. The court determined that he took five million euros from the organization. As a result, he received an additional two years of imprisonment. The court did not believe the defendant's claims during the proceedings. However, he was acquitted of a separate charge regarding the concealment of a hunting rifle from creditors.
