A two‑year‑old Belgian Malinois named Bertho disappeared on November 3 in the Ampliación Nacionalista neighborhood of Mexicali. The dog had been trained to detect narcotics. Local authorities have launched a search operation to locate the missing canine. Community members are being asked to provide any information that could help. The case has drawn attention because of the dog's specialized training. Officials continue to coordinate efforts with the public.
