Tajikistan intends to bring its coal output to 15 million tonnes as part of the Concept for the Development of the Coal Sector of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2040, which was adopted on 30 August 2019. The announcement was reported by the state news agency Khovar from Dushanbe. The concept sets the extraction target for the coming years.
