The president of the management board of the Port of Rijeka previously announced plans to transform terminals in Bakar. Specifically, the bulk cargo terminal and the Goranin terminal are intended to become multipurpose terminals. One of these goals is to turn the bulk cargo terminal into a ro-ro terminal. This new focus will allow for the transport of cars, though old iron will not be accepted.
