The Climate Ticket Austria has increased in price by nearly 28 percent since the end of 2024. Yearly passes in Vienna have also seen a significant price hike. Because of these costs and high fuel prices, the Verkehrsclub Österreich is calling for a fuel consumption brake. The organization is advocating for the expansion of public transportation systems.
