Swimmer Daria Silişteanu won Romania's third medal at the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal. She took first place in the 50 metre backstroke, which makes her a youth Olympic champion at that distance. Her gold was the third medal Romania picked up at the Games this time around. She is set to celebrate the victory at Otopeni.
