A former Turkish minister has been placed in preventive detention in a case linked to an investment fund. The official, Kaya, served as Minister of Family from 2016 to 2018. She also held the position of vice‑president of the AKP, the ruling party led by President Erdogan, until recently. The detention follows an investigation into financial matters.
