A member of the Iranian parliament’s presiding board laid out five strategic principles based on the Leader’s views. He argued that security in the region can only be achieved through internally generated order and from a position of strength. Concessions or hoping for a change of parties in Washington will not deliver it, he said. He also stressed that a change of parties in Washington does not alter the fundamental hostility toward Iran.
