Dışişleri'nden Fransız bayraklı gemiye dair açıklama
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding a ship flying the French flag. The vessel intended to conduct marine scientific research activities in the Turkish continental shelf in the Eastern Mediterranean. The ministry described these planned activities as unlawful. It stated that the process for obtaining necessary consent from Turkey has not been completed. This consent is required for activities within the boundaries of the continental shelf. The requirement follows established provisions of international maritime law.
Dışişleri Bakanlığı, Fransız bayraklı geminin, Doğu Akdeniz'deki Türk kıta sahanlığında "gayrihukuki deniz bilimsel araştırma faaliyeti" gerçekleştirme niyetine ilişkin, bu faaliyetin kıta sahanlığı sınırları dahilinde kalan kısmı için uluslararası deniz hukukunun yerleşik hükümleri uyarınca Türkiye'den alınması gereken muvafakatla ilgili sürecin henüz tamamlanmadığını bildirdi.
