A press report says an Israeli military expert named Meir Cohen is working with the Rapid Support Forces in Nyala, South Darfur. According to unnamed field sources cited by Middle East Monitor on 5 November 2026, he is helping develop the force's drone, air-defense, communications and electronic-warfare capabilities.
