Officials in the Marhamat district of Andijan province falsely reported that 837 people were employed. The head of a local agricultural company and a deputy head of a poverty reduction and employment department coordinated the scheme. These individuals were listed as employed only on paper. As a result, they were removed from the official poverty register. The records did not reflect their actual working status.
