Auckland Transport has warned motorists not to scan QR codes on its parking machines after fraudulent stickers were found in the city centre. The stickers mimic the official payment codes, so anyone who scans one risks paying scammers instead of the meter. It is not yet clear how many machines were hit or whether any drivers lost money.
