The consumer price index for October rose by 0.5 percent. Over the course of 2026, the index has accumulated a 4.5 percent increase, matching the change recorded over the past twelve months. Fuel prices were once again the principal factor driving the upward movement of the index. Analysts interpret the current trend as indicating that inflation will hover around five percent by the end of the year.
